With the help of our friends at Head & Shoulders, we challenged Youtube superstar and football video making phenom ChrisMD, to take on one of his biggest challenges yet – Tough Mudder Full London West 2017. Chris, who usually challenges himself by taking on some of the Premier League’s best in free-kick competitions, has had to dedicate himself to taking on a whole new set of obstacles. Luckily for him, Head & Shoulders helped out by recruiting some world class athletes to get him prepared.

Check out how he fared on the big day and then take a look at the top-class training tips he received on the run up to tackling Tough Mudder.

ChrisMD Takes On Tough Mudder London West:

See how all the action played out as Chris takes us through the ups and downs of taking on his first Tough Mudder along with 3 of his buddies. Chris learnt first hand the value of teamwork and the benefits of working with Mudder Nation when out on course. The training he did before taking on the course (below) certainly helped him get through even the toughest obstacles on offer – Arctic Enema seemed to be a particular favourite.

The Journey to Tough Mudder:

As mentioned above, Head & Shoulders didn’t just throw Chris into this challenge blindly, he had some top training from two of the best athletes around (lucky for some).

Strength Training With Max Whitlock

Check out how Chris prepared with help from Olympic Gymnast Max Whitlock. Max pushed Chris to improve his strength, particularly focusing on drills for obstacles like Kong, Hero Walls and Kiss of Mud. The session culminated in a gymnastic based obstacle course with aspects simulating some of the elements you can expect to face out on a Tough Mudder course, showing that training for a Tough Mudder can be done in any environment.

Speed Training With Hector Bellerin

Chris caught up with Arsenal Star Hector Bellerin to work on the speed, agility and endurance aspects of his training. Hector took Chris through a series of drills and competitions, based around Football, that helped him overcome some of the challenges he faced out on course. Proof again, that training for a Tough Mudder is limited only by your imagination.
