Now that the UK season is over for another year (sob) there really is only one thing for a Mudder to do, and that’s celebrate.
Not sure how to acknowledge such an awesome accomplishment? Our official wine partner Black Tower Wines have compiled a list of the 5 best ways to celebrate being a successful Mudder.
Share the love
It’s more than likely that your family and friends helped you train or came to spectate, and they definitely had to listen to you waffle on endlessly about that crazy obstacle course mud thing.
So don’t keep the celebration all to yourself; throw a party, cook a meal or crack open a bottle of Black Tower wine, just make sure everyone’s getting involved.
Get social
Social media that is. Did it even happen if you haven’t shared your finisher photo on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter AND Snapchat? Don’t forget to use #ToughMudder and #CheerstoMe to link up with all of the other mud-lovers.
Treat yourself
If you’ve been training hard it’s likely you held back on the treats, and even if you weren’t…well you still deserve something tasty. Now that you’ve got that coveted headband it’s time to spoil yourself; pizza, cake, even a glass of Black Tower wine (all in moderation though of course).
Pay it forward
The natural high that comes from successfully completing a Tough Mudder is infectious, so a friend, family member or colleague might be spurred into action by your glow of achievement.
Perhaps they fancy tackling a Tough Mudder or maybe they’ve been inspired to start running – either way, be a benevolent Mudder and pass on any tips and advice you have from your own experience. What goes around comes around.
Prepare for next year
You read that right. Why stop now? The hard work has already been done to get you over the finish line, and with plenty of other formats to try whether it’s Tough Mudder Half or a competitive Tougher wave, plus events all over the country the future is paved with multi-coloured headbands. You can find 2018 dates on the Find an Event page.
