Ladders Of Success – Daniel Hiscoke – United Kingdom
What is it? 4 Lanes of overhead ladders mounted on a pivot which is biased to the starting position. In order to keep the ladders above the level of the finishing podium, you will need help! If you let go… you wipe-out into a muddy pool, if your friends let go… you wipe-out into a muddy pool. Running competitively or have no help? Monkey across then switch over to the “Failure” Ladders at the end. Mud is Life.
The Carousel – Anonymous – Germany
What is it? Mudders have to jump on the framework, but be careful, the frame starts to rotate and may hinder other Mudders. Use your strength (and momentum) wisely, a second carousel is waiting for you. Climb up or jump onto the side of the frame, just try not to fall into the water.
Flaccid Mast – Joel Forsyth – California
What is it? Flaccid Mast is a suspended balance beam, which allows the beam to move and twist in all directions. To make it even more challenging, there is a flag pole in the middle of the beam forcing the athlete to leave their centred position to get around it. The key to success comes from the other athletes on the “mainland”. They have ropes that run through the top of the flagpole and by pulling them taut will greatly reduce the movement the beam is able to have. Teamwork makes the dream work.
