3 Reasons To Start Your Resolutions in February

How are your New Year’s resolutions coming along? If the answer is ‘not so well’ and a despondent shrug then you’re definitely not alone. Approximately 80% of resolutions fail by the second week of February, which means all of your good intentions are going to waste.

If you want to turn those resolutions into habits then join us as we forgot January (it’s basically a trial month anyway) and kick start our goals in February. Think we’re talking rubbish? Here are three reasons why you’re better off starting this month.

January is the Worst

Seriously. It’s cold, it’s dark, you’ve got no money and it feels like it lasts forever. January isn’t for new goals and pushing yourself, January is pure survival. In the first, never-ending month of the year you should be resting, recuperating and preparing so that when your resolution comes around (whether it’s getting fitter, saving money or trying more new challenges) you’re at your absolute best.

February is the Shortest Month

The final days of January are truly a slog, especially this year. Which means if you’ve just started a new project or habit that first milestone is one hell of a long way off. February, on the other hand, is the shortest month of the year with just 28 days. Plus you’ll have more money in February, which makes pretty much everything easier.

Start When Everyone Else Stops

With most people ditching their resolutions there’s even more reason for you to get started. Not only because you’ll motivate all of your friends who just gave up but because if fitness training is the aim of your game then online gyms, classes, PTs will have more availability and equipment will be back in stock – no excuses.

Give yourself the best possible motivation and sign up for Tough Mudder in 2021.
